Blue Coat Q2 revenue up marginally to $121m

Posts net income of $12m

Blue Coat Systems has reported net revenue of $121m in the second quarter of fiscal 2011, a marginal increase of 0.83% as compared to net revenue of $120m in the same quarter last fiscal.

Revenue from products decreased to $73.1m from $77m in Q2 FY10, and services revenue increased to $48m from $44m of Q2 FY10.

For the second quarter ended 31 October 2010, the company posted an operating income of $17m, an increase of 70% as compared to $10m of the same quarter FY10.

Blue Coat reported a net income of $12m and $0.25 diluted EPS in the second quarter of fiscal 2011, as compared to a net income of $8.3m and $0.19 diluted EPS in the same period previous year.

For the third quarter of fiscal 2011, the company is expecting net revenue to be between $121m and $128m, and net income to be in a range of $0.21 and $0.26 per diluted share.
