Axolotl’s Elysium e2 technology will be the community solution for clinical messaging and clinical collaboration. Clinical messaging is a technology to securely share clinical data with affiliated physicians, resulting in improved quality of care. In this secure electronic environment, hospitals reduce paper distribution and are able to send physicians patient test results, including labs and radiology.

More than one million results are sent from Bloomington Hospital to local physicians each year. In the past we have had to print out each of these results and fax them to the physician’s office and/or put them in a physician’s mailbox, said Todd Rowland, director of medical informatics at Bloomington Hospital. With clinical messaging, we can send these test results electronically.
