Fort Lauderdale, Florida-based Blockbuster Entertainment Group has acquired a minority interest in PC Upgrades, a business that specializes in providing the parts and service for upgrading personal computers for individuals and corporate accounts. The acquisition is part of Blockbuster’s strategy to enter into personal computer, CD-ROM and Internet activities, which also includes in-store merchandise (CI No 3,013), as well as a music and movie Web site. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
