VRML pioneer blaxxun Interactive has acquired Cybertown, a 3D community that was founded in 1995 based on blaxxun’s (then Black Sun) technology. The plan is to integrate Cybertown with blaxxun’s Colony City to create the largest 3D community on the web. Displaying a taste for buzzwords, the companies call this their portal to the future. Since relaunching its US operation earlier this year (CI No 3,441), blaxxun claims to have attracted 20,000 users to Colony City.
