BlackBerry has released a new luxury smartphone, which is an all-touch Porsche Design P’9982 model
The P’9982 comes with ‘high-quality materials’, according to the Canadian smartphone maker, and is powered by a customised version of the BlackBerry 10.2 Operating System.
The device has a satin finished frame made up of stainless steel and hand-wrapped backs made from genuine Italian leather.
Porsche Design Group CEO Juergen Gessler said:"With the P’9982 we extend our range of modern luxury smartphones and establish ourselves as a market leader in this segment."
BlackBerry SVP of Design Alistair Hamilton said:"Every aspect of this smartphone has been purposely designed and built for a powerful premium experience," Hamilton said.
Porsche Design P’9982 will be available from Porsche Design stores as well as select carriers and retailers around the world beginning November 21.
The more limited crocodile leather edition will be available in early December and can only be picked up from Porsche Design at Harrods.
