The BIS Group Ltd subsidiary of Nynex Corp, the New York phone company, has bought Antrim, Northern Ireland systems and consultancy house BIS Beecom Ltd for an undisclosed sum: formed in 1981, the company employs over 100 staff and provides system development services on IBM, ICL and DEC kit; the BIS Group, which bought 49% of Beecom in 1985, says that the business will be amalgamated into its system development, consultancy and training division BIS Applied Systems.
