Microsoft Corp founder and chairman Bill Gates was due to receive the National Medal of Technology from President Bush in a White House ceremony yesterday, Reuter reports from Seattle: Gates, to receive the honour with seven others, will be the first personal computer software executive to hold the medal, which was initiated only in 1985.
