Big Entertainment Inc has unveiled a comic video and an electronic comic strip as part of its new Tekno-Comics line. The comic strip incorporates animation created by Walt Disney Co’s Disney-MGM studios. They can be watched on television or on a computer using CD-ROM. IBM Corp is to produce the comic videos and companion comic books. The comic strips will be available on television through Bell Atlantic’s Corp’s interactive network. The electronic comic strip will be tested on the network in the second quarter and the full product line, which also includes paperback books and trading cards, will be launched in the autumn. Actor Leonard Nimoy is signed to create characters and produce programmes for the Tekno-Comics.
