EDS, Fujitsu, Cogent, General Dynamics, and LogicaCMG, are going head to head with the CSC-led group which includes BT, Capgemini, and Thales for the Defence Information Infrastructure project. The winner of the first of three stages of the project will be announced in February 2005.

The project aims to provide a single platform across the UK’s three armed forces, and replace the myriad bespoke systems that exist at its 4,000 locations worldwide. The MOD expects to make savings of about 170m pounds ($322m).
