BID CLOSING DATE FOR FTS2000 PUT BACK

The closing date for bids for the FTS2000 US government telephone network has been put back by one month to the end of September: Martin Marietta, heading the only consortium apart from AT&T’s that is still interested in the contract, has said it might withdraw if the closing date were put back again; this is the third postponement.
