BICC Plc subsidiary BICC Technologies of Maidenhead, Berkshire has acquired the London WC2-based systems and software house Syntek Holdings Ltd. BICC Technologies has pud Vn dull performance for the first six months of this financial year (CI No 1,247) but presumably hopes that this acquisition will bolster the newly established BICC Information Systems and services organisation which it will join. BICC Information Systems offers turnkey networking services to which Syntek will contribute its expertise. Syntek’s experience lies with software design, development and consultancy, contract programming, third party software maintenance and the supply of customised application software. It operates in the financial, communications, electronic and publishing industries. It currently employs 100 people and was previously owned by its directors, who will continue to manage the company. Despite being acquired, Syntek will carry on servicing all existing clients and market sectors.
