Betapond buys iPlatform

The acquisition will help Betapond to enhance its engineering talent and extend further its into the UK market

Social media marketing company Betapond has acquired UK-based Facebook app developer iPlatform for an undisclosed sum.

The acquisition will help Betapond to enhance its engineering capabilities and help it further expand into the UK market.

Following the acquisition, iPlatform will be integrated into Betapon to offer global brands and their agencies with improved scale and depth of resources for developing new Facebook integrations, the company said.

Betapond co-founder and chief executive Declan Kennedy quoted by freshbusinessthinking.com saying the iPlatform team brings a depth of experience and talent that will allow Betapond to offer brands a competitive edge in advanced Facebook marketing.

"Marketers in London demand the best and most sophisticated Facebook marketing techniques," said Kennedy.

" With the iPlatform team on board, Betapond is in a stronger position to meet that demand."

iPlatform is a Facebook marketing agency, helping clients with their marketing campaigns by building applications for the Facebook and Facebook Connect platforms.

iPlatformw was founded in 2008 by Joshua March and Dan Lester after Facebook introduced its developer programme.
