Control Data Corp’s Soviet joint venture, Besta, claims it has produced the first domestically-assembled 32-bit workstations at its facilities in Moscow: the units are made entirely from imported components; they can support up to 50 terminals and can be integrated in to personal computer networks; Besta says the workstations will have application in banking, CAD/CAM and industrial control systems.
