SoftBrands, an affiliate of Infor and a provider of business application software, has said that the Best Western Lancashire Manor Hotel, a three-star hotel near Wigan, has deployed its Medallion Property Management System (PMS).

The PMS offering will improve operational efficiency and increase sales through enhanced management reporting and boosting the effectiveness of the hotel’s customer database.

The Best Western Lancashire Manor is the 25th Best Western Hotel to go live with SoftBrands Medallion as part of a global, preferred supplier agreement.

The PMS offering’s integrated, two-way interface with the main Best Western website delivers reports on the hotel’s availability to the main Best Western site, and as rooms are sold, they are "delivered" direct to the property’s booking system.

In addition, the offering facilitates an easy to use database that will improve sales by developing a complete record of customer preferences.

The Lancashire Manor will also use the Medallion database to improve local marketing to its predominantly corporate client base.

SoftBrands hospitality vice-president and general manager Tracy Flynn said the Lancashire Manor joins great company alongside 24 other Best Western properties in the UK that already take advantage of the strong relationship with SoftBrands.

"SoftBrands and Best Western have formed a partnership that really delivers for the properties under the Best Western brand, and we are confident that Medallion will help enable the Lancashire Manor to capitalise on its recent refurbishment, deliver world class customer service and continue to grow profitably," Flynn said.
