Omnicell’s MedGuard patient safety technology will be used at all Berkshire Health Systems sites, including Berkshire Medical Center, the BMC Hillcrest Campus and Fairview Hospital, to improve operational efficiency and help increase patient safety.
The contract includes a wide range of Omnicell offerings, including Omnicell PharmacyCentral pharmacy storage and retrieval units, OmniRx medication dispensing systems for medical and surgical floors, OmniLinkRx physician order management, and SecureVault controlled substance inventory management.
It will also include SafetyPak automated medication packaging, OmniDispenser secure drug dispensing modules, and SafetyStock dispensing confirmation software to help prevent medication use errors.
