Berg Electronics Corp of St Louis is to invest more than $11.8m to build a manufacturing facility in Fermoy, County Cork, Ireland to make electronic connectors for use in the computer and telecommunications industries. It plans to hire about 310 people during the next three years to work in the plant. It already has manufacturing facilities in France and Holland.
