WealthStation is a browser-based wealth management technology platform that combines front-to-back office capabilities including financial planning, asset allocation, portfolio construction, retirement income modeling, trading and back-office processing.

Beneficial Investment Services (BIS) will also gain the financial planning features of SunGard’s Retirement Income Simulation Expert (RISE), which offers risk management and what/if scenario simulation modeling to help ensure that advisors can provide clients with alternative solutions for attaining their retirement income goals, a common shortfall or need for many retirees. RISE will help Beneficial’s advisors to simply and accurately assist clients in analyzing their retirement income by evaluating, comparing and illustrating income goal probabilities, the risk inherent in various planning scenarios, and the ways in which annuities affect the risk of those scenarios.

Blaine Maxfield, chief operating officer of SunGard’s wealth management business, said: As retail brokers seek new ways to reach growth, service and quality goals, technology continues to be an important component for supporting a deeper level of client-focused services. WealthStation’s breadth of sophistication, ability to help advisors illustrate value to clients, and web-based workflow are the principal factors that help firms succeed in the financial planning, retirement planning and wealth management arenas.
