Not too surprisingly, Doris Benczyk hasn’t stayed on long in the job of chief operating officer at Datapoint Corp after Robert Potter was brought in from Northern Telecom as chief executive above her a month or three back: until then she had been acting chief executive since last summer, but she is not too miffed at what looked like cavalier treatment by chairman Asher Edelman – she is to consult personally for him, which rather sounds as if he has it in mind to move in and shake up another computer firm or two.
