Dutchtone’s parent company Orange has also chosen Nokia to develop its network in the UK and other countries. The mobile operators are understood to want as few barriers as possible between their national networks, on top of the potential cost savings from multiple deals with the same network supplier.
Ben and Dutchtone’s joint venture follows an announcement in December that they were planning to cooperate in the construction of a 3G network.
