BellSouth Corp says it has signed a memorandum of understanding with a Chinese consortium developing China’s second telephone network: under the agreement with China United Telecommunications Corp, BellSouth will act as consultant on plans for cellular, wireless and long distance networks and will help in planning and project engineering for digital cellular telephone networks in two large Chinese cities.
