Atlanta, Georgia-based BellSouth Corp, plans to add almost 1million telephone lines in 1996. It said that selling additional lines to existing customers had fueled its growth and now accounted for 40% of sales of residential lines. It says it now has more than 21m access lines in service, with about 900,000 new lines sold and installed in 1995.
