BELLSOUTH GROUP WINS BRAZILIAN WIRELESS LICENSE

BellSouth Corp is leading a group of companies that have won a $512m wireless license in six states in the north-eastern region of Brazil. BellSouth’s offer for the region was $183m above that of the next highest bidder. The company’s chief partner in the area is Sao Paulo-based banking company, Sao Paulo.
