BellSouth Corp was proudly talking of the grip that it now has on the South American cellular market: the latest agreement, announced in September gave it control of Cidcom, the Chilean cellular operator and that brings the total number of countries in the region in which it operates to five – Argentina, Western Mexico, Venezuela and Uruguay.
