BellSouth Corp, Atlanta reports that its Chilean subsidiary has received preliminary approval to build and operate a domestic and international long distance service in the country: the subsidiary company, Cidcom Larga Distancia will be licensed to build a network using satellites, microwave digital switching and fibre optic cable.
