The BellSouth Communication Systems unit of BellSouth Corp in Roanoke, Virginia, has signed a two-year contract to sell the ISDN-compatible HCX5000 PABX from Hitachi America Ltd, and expects sales of the thing to reach about $46m for the contract period: according to BellSouth, the HCX5000 offers ISDN capabilities, multiple integrated applications, advanced modular architecture and a full line of multifunction telephones and displays.
