Pacific Bell Inc has awarded Newbridge Networks Corp the contract to supply switches for its planned Asynchronous Transfer Mode network: Newbridge will supply 36150 MainStreet ATMNet Switches for deployment by the Pacific Telesis Group Inc unit in the San Francisco Bay area before the end of the year; it will also use Newbridge switches in a network it is building for General Motors Corp’s Hughes Aircraft Co in Orange County, California.
