Bell Communications Research Inc, Morristown, New Jersey reckons that the embedded microprocessor Smart Cards used by the likes of Mondex Ltd and Visa International Inc are not as secure as their proponents believe. It says that if you can induce them to make a calculation error, it is then possible to unlock the encryption algorithms.
