BELL COMUNICATIONS RESEARCH AND RUTGERS UNIVERSITY PROVE NEW TECHNIQUE TO CREATE HIGH TEMPERATURE SUPERCONDUCTORS

By CBR Staff Writer

Scientists at Bell Communications Research in Piscataway, New Jersey, working with nearby Rutgers University, have proven a new technique using a pulsed laser to vaporise ceramics onto a substrate which is then baked, to create high temperature superconductors: best temperature achieved so far with the process is minus 190`C; the laser technique is an alternative to the electron beam process others have used to lay down superconductors.
