Bell Canada International Inc says it has now completed the sale of a 5.17% interest in Mercury Communications Ltd to Cable & Wireless Plc for about $235m as part of the series of transactions that are to lead to the formation of the new Cable & Wireless Communications Plc. Shareholders of this will include Cable & Wireless with 52.6%; Nynex Corp with 18.5%, and Bell Canada International, 14.2%.
