Philadelphia-based Bell Atlantic Corp’s Bell Atlantic International is increasing its presence in the Asia-Pacific region, having announced that it is to invest more than $1,000m in the area: in an interview with Business Times, vice-president and general counsel David Frost said that the plan was because of rapid liberalisation, but that it would be choosy about the projects it got involved with; Bell Atlantic is to set up two offices, one in the Indonesian capital, Jakarta, one in Seoul, South Korea.
