Bell Atlantic Corp has now decided to pull out of the Infostrada fixed line telecommunications joint venture with Ing C Olivetti SpA in which it holds a 33% stake – at least according to Italian newspaper Il Corriere della Sera. Olivetti wouldn’t comment. Bell went cold on the venture following Olivetti’s telecommunications pact with German giant Mannesmann AG back in September (CI No 3,242).
