BELIEVE WHAT I SAY – MICROSOFT STICKING WITH OBJECT GROUP

Microsoft Corp has been all over the trade press countering a bout of speculation suggesting its days as an Object Management Group member are numbered. We do not anticipate any change in our membership or involvement with OMG, it said. However, it is perhaps what Microsoft has not said that speaks greater volumes. It has consistently avoided indicating whether it will respond to Part B of the Object Group’s Common Object Model-to-Common Object Request Broker Architecture Request For Proposal, or whether it will abide by whatever the group eventually specifies.
