Belfast Health and Social Care Trust has deployed unified communications (UC) firm Polycom’s RealPresence video and voice applications, Microsoft Lync and BT networking technology to unify video, voice and data communications for its17,000 staff.

The new Polycom, Microsoft and BT application consists of a new BT network which uses Polycom and Microsoft applications to provide an unified communications platform.

It also gives the healthcare workers access to Microsoft Lync so they can communicate via video, voice, instant messaging, and presence.
