Connect Protect allows security administrators to control which devices can be connected to a protected machine and which can not. The system is intended to prevent malicious use of mobile devices to leak corporate data, but will also stop the unintentional introduction of viruses on to the enterprise network, the Reading, UK-based vendor said.
Policies can be configured to detail permissible and prohibited device types, or which specific USB-enabled device is allowed connection and which is restricted.
