By CBR Staff Writer

Wombat Financial Software, a provider of low-latency trading technology, says the system combines direct exchange feed handlers, high speed messaging and application integration capabilities. Bear Stearns is also said to have integrated Wombat with value added applications for data storage, analytics and publishing.

Jerome Downey, senior managing director of Bear Stearns, said, Wombat has enabled Bear Stearns to consistently focus on our business of providing best execution to institutional investors by largely removing the complexities of coping with data feed integration. They’ve proven themselves to be a viable alternative in the market data management arena.
