As is the fashion, BEA Systems Inc is to offer an object-oriented repository based upon Unisys Corp’s URep universal repository for use with its middleware products, enabling customers to store information about applications that use the middleware in a central store. URep support both OMG Corba and Microsoft OLE object services. BEA offers OLTP, messaging, object request broker and other middleware.
