BEA LAUNCHES ‘BUILT ON BEA’ PROGRAM

By CBR Staff Writer

Sunnyvale, California-based BEA Systems Inc has launched a program to provide companies building packaged applications with software and services required to embed the company’s messaging and distributed object middleware. The Built on BEA program encompasses all BEA products including BEA Tuxedo, ObjectBroker and MessageQ. As part of the program independent software vendors have said they will incorporate the middleware into their applications. BEA says the middleware improves the performance and flexibility of applications and enables them to operate with almost any systems architecture, application architecture, database system and programming paradigm. The company says the added flexibility will enable much quicker development and deployment of applications.
