Eindhoven-based international accountancy firm BDO CampsObersGroep has committed itself to the Ingres Corp relational database management system with a project to install it on its Digital Equipment Corp VAX 4300-based central administration system serving 18 locations in the Netherlands: Ask Computer Inc’s Ingres BV claims that the amount of money involved is significant but that BDO has asked that it does not reveal the exact figure; BDO says it chose Ingres after considering the Oracle database system and DEC’s own Rdb software because of the support offered for its Apple Macintosh front-end for Ingres via Apple’s DAL communication product.
