Beaver Dam Community Hospitals (BDCH) selected the Paragon community healthcare information system to provide integrated clinical and financial information systems and comprehensive electronic health records (EHRs) for its new hospital and facilities. Additionally, the organization will implement McKesson’s document management system, which will enable doctors to sign electronic patient records online and streamline the management of information for all hospital personnel – from physicians to coders, said McKesson.

With the implementation of Paragon, BDCH is expected to improve clinical quality and the patient’s healthcare experience by enabling informed decision making by clinicians, better communication and improved service efficiency. Improved clinical efficiency also is a key goal for BDCH as it works with McKesson’s implementation team to redesign processes and achieve optimum value from the new EHR technology, added McKesson.

Jim Pesce, senior vice president and general manager of Paragon at McKesson, said: Beaver Dam Community Hospitals has a modern new facility and its selection of McKesson’s Paragon solution means it will have the technology to match. We’re pleased to help BDCH replace its paper system with our system for the community hospital market.
