BCE BUYING SOFTWARE CREATIONS OF MANCHESTER

By CBR Staff Writer

BCE Holdings Plc has now revealed the identity of the second games software house it is buying in order to turn itself into a video games power house: the company is Manchester-based Software Creations Ltd, which produces games for Nintendo Co, Sega Enterprises Ltd and Sony Corp, and it joins Rage Software Ltd, the Liverpool acquisition already identified, bringing the cost of the two acquisitions to around UKP14m; stockbroker Durlacher & Co is organising a share placing and open offer that is likely to value BCE at around UKP25m – four times what it was valued at when trading in its shares was suspended ahead of the two bid announcements.
