BBN Communications Corp, Cambridge, Massachusetts, is going after wide area networks in financial markets with the release of two dual-processor packet-switching Nodes, the C/3D and C/300D: the nodes are compatible the company’s C/3, C/30 and C/300 packet switching nodes, and configured with two packet switching processors, one Bus Switch and two sets of input-output logic; the company claims they provide greater data network availability for a range of financial applications.
