Bazaarvoice, a provider of Software as a Service (SaaS) social commerce offerings, has unveiled new Smart SEO that allows brands to maximise the natural search benefit of user-generated content.
The Smart SEO allows indexed by user-generated content (UGC) to be crawled and indexed by search engines as "static" content, for driving higher placement in search results, boosting search engine traffic, and driving traffic to the brand site.
The new offering leverages on the Bazaarvoice platform and UGC, which provides volumes of fresh, relevant content through which companies can increase search visibility of their websites.
The company said that the Smart SEO combines the simplicity and search engine-friendliness of flat, text-based content with the dynamic, real-time interactivity that consumers want and expect.
In addition, it also eliminates the need for coding techniques such as iframes and noscript when seeking an interactive and search-friendly method of adding UGC to product pages.
Bazaarvoice chief product officer Mike Svatek said the technology ensures user-generated content is simultaneously static, which is better for search engines, and dynamic, which is better for consumers.
"We’ve done the heavy lifting of development so that brands can know that they are taking all the right steps to boost natural search with fresh, rich, unique content written by consumers," Svatek said.
