BAY NETWORKS TO RESELL PARADYNE’S DSL EQUIPMENT

By CBR Staff Writer

Bay Networks Inc, is further upping the ante in its drive into the remote access market, with an agreement to resell the equipment of Digital Subscriber Line pioneer Paradyne Corp. Bay will be selling the whole range of DSL equipment, with the High bit rate, Rate Adaptive and Symmetric flavors of DSL, and Bay will resell both DSL modems, and telecoms carrier central office switches. Bay along with a number of networking players, is promising it will develop a coherent DSL strategy over the next few months. Its key move is going to be the incorporation of DSL technology into its existing line of Adapteon remote access equipment.
