BAY NETWORKS TO PAY $11M FOR CANADIAN FIRM ISOTRO

Bay Networks Inc, Santa Clara is to acquire Isotro Network Management Inc, Ottawa developer of the NetID product for DNS Domain Naming Service and DHCP Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol, for $11m in cash. Bay expects to take a substantial portion of the acquisition price as a one-time charge for in- process technology. NetID is an integrated IP address, DNS and DCHP multi-user database application. Isotro’s 20 employees will remain in Ottawa.
