BAY DENIES RUMORS OF UK LAY-OFFS

By CBR Staff Writer

Bay Networks UK Ltd denies gossip flying yesterday that 32 people had been laid off, and new UK sales and marketing director Graham Allan, who has just taken up his post following the departure of David Grant, could confirm only 20 lay-offs had been made across Europe. The talk suggested the company’s technical director had been demoted but Allan denied this saying he had a new role. The job cuts are apparently due to re-organization that has been applied throughout the company following the arrival of Dave House to run Bay.
