By CBR Staff Writer

Comparex Informationssysteme GmbH says that parent company BASF AG, may have reported its worst results for a three-month period since 1982 with net profits down 32% to $273m, but it continues to be satisfied with the performance of its computer arm: Comparex is in the fortunate position of having a steady stream of rental revenue, but other parts of the BASF empire, particulary mining and magnetics, are less secure, with magnetics reporting significant losses in the quarter.
