Version 3 of the firmware also provides for cluster synchronization so that spam rules need only be made on one master machine and then propagated automatically to all other Barracuda Spam Firewall units.
The ugrade also means the Barracuda line of appliances will now support the Sender ID Framework that is being promoted as an email authentication specification and a means of stopping email domain spoofing, spam and phishing.
The addition of new single sign-on features also means that users will now be able to log on to the Barracuda Spam Firewall using their domain passwords.
Version 3 will deploy to new and current customers at no additional charge, the Cupertino, California-based vendor said.
