BARNES & NOBLE LOOKS TO BOOST ITS WEB PRESENCE

BarnesandNoble.com, the somewhat illiterate name that bookseller Barnes & Noble Inc goes by on the internet, is still battling out with Amazon.com for the title largest bookseller on the web, but Amazon had a considerable start developing its web site with reviews and other items of interest: now BarnesandNoble (sic) has gone to existing web site content provider Book Central, run by Franklin Spier Advertising Inc and hitherto available only to America Online Inc subscribers, to beef up its content, and will co-brand the Book Central site as part of its own.
