Barclays Plc is in talks with British Sky Broadcasting Plc and British Telecommunications Plc about forming a consortium to boost the introduction of digital television in Britain, the Guardian reports, saying the bank had comfirmed it was in the early stages of talks. Industry sources had already told Reuters that BSkyB and British Telecom were in advanced negotiations to form a joint venture to promote digital television services.
