Barclays Bank Plc has just spent UKP2m on Wembley-based Information Builders Ltd’ Focus applications generator and database manage ment system, which it will integrate within its recently developed global information system: Barclays argues that Focus, which will run in conjunction with the DEC All-in-1 office automation software on DEC VAXes, will provide an eventual 500 non-technical users – senior managers – with straight-forward means to find data and generate reports.
